Another Bump In The Road
So, we are now heading for the biopsy for Mike for the “tumor” in his tongue. We still have no clue what it is, what is happening or which way is up. But off we go, we get to the hospital and of course, paperwork (they already had all the answers to the questions but they still insist you fill out the paperwork!) We got that done and we are waiting. They finally call his name and take him back to prep him for the biopsy, the nurse said she would be back in a few minutes to get me. Well, that “few minutes” felt like an eternity, I was like shit did they do the biopsy and forget to come me? I mean good grief, my nerves were all over the place! Finally the nurse comes out the door and says I can come back, I felt immediate relief, it was like I can finally see Mike, all kinds of things had already went through my mind (none of them good of course) I get to his room and he is just sitting there smiling like nothing is happening. We spoke with the nurse for a few minutes and she was telling us what we can expect and things of that nature. The doctor (ENT) comes in, he says that he was speaking with his colleagues over the weekend and he was not comfortable with doing the surgery. I of course thought he was kidding and snicker, he was not kidding,he tells us the tumor is to deep and he is no going to do the surgery. I had no words, Mike was still convinced he was the best doctor ever, I was pissed!
