I’m Back!
Hey friends! Hope you are all doing well, I mentioned earlier that I was taking a little break to get through baseball and enjoy my first “do nothing” weekend! That being said, I am back!
I left off with Mike going to the doctor that literally did not want to get near him because of Covid-19, she insisted that he had allergies, had no idea why he had a metal taste in his mouth and sent him on his way. So, here we were with no answers, we of course decided to find another doctor, we decided on an ENT, I mean he had a sore throat so that was a good place to start. Now I will say, it was not a typical sore throat, he had a uncomfortable feeling on the side of his throat, that would kind of go down in his neck area. I found an ENT that was close to home and highly recommended, he had great reviews so this was a perfect place to start. We made the appointment, Mike went, I did not go with him as it was just a visit to see what was going on. When Mike saw this doctor, he really liked him, he listened to Mike and seemed to really care. He did the normal check up, he also scoped Mike (by putting the camera down his throat) he did not see anything. He really zoned in on what Mike was feeling, he touched the area Mike was referring to, he agreed that something was off by Mikes reaction to him touching the area, he just could not see or feel anything. He gave Mike a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds to see if this would ease it some, he also wanted him to have a CT scan of his neck to see if anything would pop up. His office would make that appointment and let Mike know later in the week. We got the medicines filled and he started them right away while we were waiting on the CT scan appointment to be scheduled. It seems like when you are not feeling well, you always find yourself in some sort of waiting game.
