What Next??

At this point we are still dealing with Harrison`s Alopecia, the injections he was receiving as well as the topical treatment we were using. We were trucking along, just finding our way with all of this. He was still paying baseball for his travel team, loving it and we loved watching him, and the team. It was a lot for sure, practice, games, tournaments on the weekends but we were all in! So, as I said we were trucking along, doing this thing called life. Then, Mike started complaining of a sore throat, we thought allergies? Drainage? Things like that, so he started an over the counter allergy medicine, it was not helping after several days, he had never really had allergies but living in Georgia, who knows! When the over the counter medicine was not working, I thought maybe he should go to the doctor to make sure it was not strep. At this time, we did not have a primary doctor, our doctor had decided to go with some kind of different system, it cost a crazy amount of money, so we did not have a primary doctor at the moment. Well, now seemed like a good time to get one so that Mike could be seen, now Harrison was going to the doctor this did not effect his Pediatrician. Anyway, after several calls I finally found someone taking new patients, during Covid it was so hard to find a Primary doctor that was taken new patients, it was really nuts! This particular group was willing to see him, I made the appointment for the same week for him. He went to the appointment, he called me afterwards and was like I am never going back there. He got to a room, the Physician Assistant came in, he was telling her what was going on, he had a sore throat, it had been hurting for a couple of weeks at this point, he had a metal taste in his mouth, he said that she was wearing a mask (of course) and did not want to get near him. I mean, yes it was during Covid but he was not coughing, sneezing or anything like that, good grief, you are a doctor. She insisted that it was allergies, although he told her he had been taking the allergy medicine, she wanted him to take a different allergy medicine, and use Flonase Spray. When he ask about the metal taste, she was like, oh I do not know what that could be? WHAT? You are suppose to be a doctor or at least a Physician Assistant, you do not even have a guess? Nope, she did not even have a guess, simply I have no idea what that could be. He left and of course refused to ever go back! Well, alright then, what next??
