Nutrition 101
The Nutritionist reached out to me within the week like the Doctor had told me that she would. We had a phone conversation/appointment (people were still Covid crazy- that is a story for another day!) Anyway, she was really nice and she gave me so much information, I was writing a ton of things down. It was a lot of really good information. She suggested that I do the Mediterranean Diet, it really was not a diet but a lifestyle change. I was still going to be eating, some diets starve you in my opinion she was very convincing that this particular lifestyle change would not starve me. We talked about all the details of what this entailed, I would need to put exercise in my daily routine, I had actually started walking and she said that was perfect as long as I was doing something. She was telling me that fruits/veggies, fish things such as that were what I needed to focus on. I love these things already so I just needed to put a plan in place and start. The thing I did not know is that the Mediterranean Diet is actually known as the Breast Cancer Survivor Diet, you are putting all good in your body which is what you want to do anyway, at least for me that was the idea. After this long conversation with her, we probably talked an hour and a half, she was like I am going to email you all of this information, that would have been nice to know in the beginning of the conversation since my hand was broken from writing everything down and writing fast, but at least I did not have to try and read my chicken scratch from going so fast, see there was a positive! I was ready to get this lifestyle change started and see what the results would be. Lets do this!
