Seriously!

Things were going along, like I said radiation is basically same shit different day, other than your skin. You honestly never know what is going to happen next with the skin issues. I continued to see the doctor every Monday, she continued to assure me everything looked great, I was convinced she was a liar, things most definitely did not look great. She kept pushing the prescription creams, I told her they were not helpful and continued with my coconut oil, I know she was probably over me but to be fair I was over radiation (she was very nice!) I think anyone going through that crap is pretty much over it before the halfway point. They ask you every week on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being great and 10 being beyond tired, how are you? I was most definitely a 10. Like I have said before I did have pity parties for myself, in my opinion they were well deserved little pity parties. I got home that particular day after treatment and I was exhausted, like seriously exhausted. I was just not feeling like myself and my shin was really burning, like more than normal burning. I decided to just make it an early evening, I was going to lay down and relax, watch a little TV, when I went to change my clothes those plans were cut short and took a different turn! I took my shirt off to change and looked at my boob, what the hell was happening, I looked again, I guess I was thinking if I looked again something would change, maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, because what I saw was a black nipple, yep that`s right my damn nipple was black, it was not like that earlier in the day when I had treatment. I called Mike in our room, showed him and ask him, does my nipple look black (guess I thought he would see something different!) Of course he looks right at me, yep its black, I still love you. Really? I mean thank you I guess but good grief, now I was stressing that my nipple was going to fall off and I can promise you nobody warned me about that being a possibility!
