We Will Call You

As I previously mentioned the nice lady wanted me to spit to the fill line in the vile that she handed me. This is sanitary, right? She explained that this was the best way to test for the genetic testing. I just went with it, at this rate anything was possible. I had seen, heard, touched, and so on, things that I never would have imagined myself doing. I started spitting, this was the most ridiculous thing I had ever done, but as I said I went with it. As I am spitting in the vile, tube whatever you call it, I started thinking just about everything that was happening in my life, emotions took over full force and I was not just spitting, I was literally just spewing in that vile, like to the point where she said, “Tracie, we are going to have to do this again, you went over the fill line and we cannot go over” she went on to tell me that she had been saying my name, I guess trying to let me know to stop. I did not hear a thing, I was in my own world, with my own thoughts and just did not hear her. I did apologize to her, of course she was understanding, she gave me another vile. This time I did calm down and slow down, I gave the exact amount of spit needed for the test. She sealed it up, placed everything in an envelope and put my name on it. I just sat there still feeling stupid for the way this test was performed, of course she said I was free to go and then said the famous last words, we will call you. I was thinking the whole way to the car, of course you will call me, when it is convenient for you, she did not know how long it would take, again of course she didn`t. I tried hard to not get upset with anyone but these waits were so crazy to me. When you are told you have cancer, you want answers, treatment and you want it fast, like the same day. You know that is impossible but it does not keep you from wanting it. I got in the car, started driving and just found myself at Chick Fil A, because why not?? All I had was time to wait apparently. If you cannot already tell, I was a little bitter with everything at this point in the game..
