Taste Buds

Mike had a doctors appointment and I was glad, I needed to get to the bottom of what was happening as far as him literally not eating anything that he always ate. We got to the appointment that afternoon and did all the normal things, weighed in, he had lost more weight which was not shocking as he was not eating a darn thing. The doctor came in and before he even looked in his mouth and throat, he wanted to talk about the fact that Mike had lost more weight. I explained everything, told him all the things I had tried, let him know these are all foods that he has always ate. The answer was quite simple, his taste buds had changed, what? Yep, the doctor told us that just like the saliva glands, the radiation can totally change your taste buds and nothing taste the same. Well, this was news to us, I was very thankful it was not my cooking! He examined Mike, pretty much the same thing, raw and many sores, still healing, same ole song and dance. We now had to find new things for Mike to eat, he has always been very picky, so I took this as a challenge, I had to attempt new things to see what he was willing to try, this was going to be interesting with my cooking skills.
