Call From Doctor

The doctor called us later the next day to go over everything. We were on speaker phone with him so we could both hear. He asked if we had looked at the results in the portal, of course we told him we sure had. He confirmed there was no evidence of disease, such amazing news, it was even more amazing to hear it from the doctor. He went over all the results, basically everything was good, there was the normal things they expected, scar tissue setting in, which would pose a problem later, swelling, things like that. Those were things they were expecting to see, and he gave us a heads up that these were things that would cause issues at some point. Its so odd, when you are done with cancer treatment, get great news like no evidence of disease, you are thinking awesome, I am done, in theory you are but that is not true, you then have to deal with all the horrible effects that come after the actual treatment! Even with knowing there would be side effects to deal with, tonight we would celebrate our wonderful news of no evidence of disease!
