Scan
Mike had been going to his doctor appointments, making sure his bloodwork was good and everything was checking out. So far everything had been good. Everything he was experiencing, the choking, spasms and things like that were all “normal” now he just had to deal with the new normal. At his last doctors appointment, he was told it was time for his first scan since treatment. It had been i believe 3 months, they give your body time to heal, and get past the treatment as best as it can before rushing into a scan. They told him they would call him and set it up. He got a call the next day, the scan was actually scheduled for the following week. It was so nerve wrecking, not only for him but for me and Harrison. We were all on edge. While you want the scan to make sure all is good, and you get to hear no evidence of disease, cancer free, however your doctor may say it, it was also scary. I was not going to the scan with him as we knew he would not be getting the results that day. I could tell he was nervous the morning of the scan, I offered to go but he was like no, we will not know anything I am good. He went had the scan, he called me afterwards, he had made it through the scan, I was a little nervous about that after everything he went through with the treatment, but he did it! They had him set up a portal and his results would be placed in the portal but we would also get a call with the results as well. So now the question was, when the email came through that the results were available, would we open them or wait for the doctor to call?
