Same Ole Thing

Mike is healing, he is getting a little stronger each day. It is still tough, he was still tired, but trying to keep pushing. The skin on his neck was so dry, peeling, itchy and just nasty looking. You can imagine if the outside looked like that what the inside must look like. The doctor said his mouth was healing but definitely had sores, and was basically raw into his throat. His pain level from 1-10 was now about an 8 which was amazing considering how he had felt.

He was still having IV fluids, still could not eat or drink so that was still the same. We had some creams for his neck, it helped a little, it was burning like a terrible sunburn. We were hoping that he would get to stop the IV fluids soon, but he would need to be drinking a little first, which at this point was a no go. We had high hopes!
