Almost Done

We were just plugging along. I was still working, Mike was working when he could (at home) and resting. We had mastered the Potassium Pills, fluids, all the things. We were going to radiation, it was almost done. He had about 3 more days and he would be done! He was excited, and I was so excited for him. He was exhausted, frail, just so sick. I was ready for him to start healing, I knew he was ready also. This had been such a long, hard road. Everything about his treatment had been brutal and he was due a break. It would be nice for him to just able to rest, relax, and get better. Every single day we had to go to radiation, once a week still going to the chemo doctor for labs, it was just so much. We were both ready for the healing process to start.

We also wondered what his healing process would be? We had not actually ask about the healing part, we were so busy going through the toughest days ever, we were not quite sure what the healing would be like. Since the treatment was so brutal the healing had to be better, smoother, right?
