I Am A Nurse

We received all the necessary supplies for the fluids, holy cow it was a ton of stuff. I called the nurse to let her know that we received the boxes, she informed me that she would be over that evening to start an IV bag of fluids, I was relieved when she said that she would be starting the fluids, I assumed she had made a mistake when she said that she was going to teach me, or maybe she was kidding. She got to the house early in the evening. I had laid everything on a long table in our living room, it looked like a hospital set up, maybe not as nice as an actual hospital but I tried. She was impressed with my set up!

She explained the tubing, needles, everything basically that was going to be used and why they were being used. She started a bag of fluids, it took no time for her to start it. She did want me watching her, I was taken it all in. When she was done, she ask if I would be ok to do it the next day. What? Be ok to do what? Was she really asking me this? Yep, she sure was, she was so serious. I just looked at her, I was like no, I do not think I will be ready for this, I have only watched you one time. She was like well everything goes through the port so as long as you do not get any air bubbles in the line you should be good. You guys, I had no idea this was going to happen! Dear lord I am a Nurse now! What the heck is happening?!
