Excuse Me

I got everything approved for home health care to come to our home and give Mike IV fluids. Now, did you catch what I said? I got everything approved! I was having such a hard time with getting help for this, I really think the nurses were pissed that I thought people should come to the house to do this, which was crazy, they all knew how sick and frail Mike was. Anyway, insurance was going to cover it (Praise the Lord) and they would be coming every other day to give him IV fluids which I prayed would help him feel better. This was going to be starting within the next few days. I was told that I would hear from someone and they would set up a time to come out, meet us, then get on a regular schedule. This honestly made me feel better, at least he would be getting the fluids.

The company we were going through did call me the next day. They ask a lot of questions, and scheduled a lady to come out I believe it was 2 days later and we would meet with her and get things started. She was a RN that lived close to us, apparently that is how they chose who came out for home healthcare, it was nurses that lived close to you. We scheduled her to come out in the afternoon, that way radiation would be done, Mike could rest and hopefully feel up to meeting with her in the afternoon. She got there, she had a lot of questions that had to be answered in order to get things going, the majority of the questions I had answered on the previous call but whatever, we answered them again with her. She went over literally everything that was going to be needed, cleansers, gloves, needles, IV fluids, saline, band aids, alcohol swabs, so much stuff and I am sure I am missing a few things. She was going to get all of this ordered and it would be shipped to our house within 2 days, at which time she would be back. When she got all her questions answered, ordered everything that would be needed for giving the fluids, she looked at me and told me to call her as soon as the supplies were received and she would be right over to teach me how to do everything. Excuse me? What did you say? Again, excuse me?
