Sunday Funday!
So it was Sunday, we had been here since Friday. We were thinking that we would get to go home today, that is what we were originally told. We got up, we tried to watch church online but could not get it to work, so we walked the halls for a little bit. I helped Mike get a shower, then I took a shower. That leads me to another thing, I was ready to be in my own shower! I mean it is great they have showers for you, but there is nothing like being at home! We were sitting around, talking, well I was talking, Mike was writing on the white board. We called and chatted with Harrison, we actually face timed him, he was having fun with his Aunt Tracy but he was ready for us to be home.
The Oncologist came in that morning, he wanted Mike to at least stay one more night, the fluids and IV pain meds were making him feel so much better, he thought that another night was needed. Mike tried to put up an argument about it, but I was like if it is needed then we are doing it. It was another LONG day at the hospital. We walked to the cafeteria, Mike got actually got some type of pudding dessert they had, he was able to eat about half of it. The fact that he was eating (although small amounts) was amazing! We were told by the Oncologist that the discharge paperwork and process would start the next morning. He also told me that I needed to call the radiation facility and let them know that Mike would miss radiation on Monday from being in the hospital, possibly Tuesday, Mike was having no part of missing more than one day of radiation in fear of having to start over! I would call them in the morning and figure that out!
